Refund Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

At DREVAN LLC, we are committed to providing a clear, fair, and reliable purchasing experience.

We sell downloadable digital educational guides designed to help adult beginners develop an understanding of hand woodcarving, including workspace preparation, wood selection, foundational practice, small decorative carving projects, and finishing decisions.

Because our products are delivered electronically and may be accessed immediately or shortly after purchase, different refund conditions apply compared with physical products.

Because our products are digital and may be made available immediately or shortly after successful payment, purchases are generally considered final once the digital content has been delivered, accessed, or downloaded.

Refunds may nevertheless be available in the circumstances described in this Policy or whenever required by applicable law.

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or limits any mandatory consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

4. Withdrawal or Cancellation Rights

Depending on the laws applicable to a customer's purchase, certain withdrawal or cancellation rights may apply.

Where permitted by applicable law, those rights may cease once digital delivery begins if the customer has expressly requested or consented to immediate access and acknowledged that beginning delivery may affect or end the applicable withdrawal or cancellation right.

Mandatory consumer rights will always be respected.

5. When a Refund May Be Available

You may contact us to request a refund or review if:

  • You were charged more than once for the same purchase.

  • You received a digital product different from the one purchased.

  • The digital file is corrupted or cannot be opened.

  • A transaction was made without your authorization.

  • You purchased the wrong guide and have not yet accessed or downloaded it.

  • A refund, replacement, cancellation, or other remedy is required under applicable law.

Where appropriate, we may first attempt to resolve a technical or delivery issue by providing a replacement file, corrected download link, or reasonable technical assistance.

6. Change-of-Mind Refunds

Except where applicable law provides otherwise, we generally do not provide refunds when:

  • You simply change your mind after purchasing.

  • You no longer want or need the guide.

  • You have already accessed or downloaded the digital content.

  • You purchased the wrong guide despite clear product information.

  • You did not read the product description before purchasing.

  • You expected a printed book, carving knife, wood, protective equipment, tools, or other physical materials.

  • Your finished carving does not look exactly like an example shown in the guide.

  • You decide not to continue learning woodcarving after purchasing the guide.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights.

  • Resend the purchased guide.

  • Provide a replacement file.

  • Correct an access issue.

  • Provide reasonable technical assistance.

If a technical problem on our side prevents us from supplying the purchased product and cannot reasonably be resolved, a refund may be issued where appropriate.

8. Reporting a Problem

We recommend contacting us within 14 days of purchase if you experience a technical, delivery, payment, or access problem.

This 14-day period relates only to reporting customer-service issues.

It is not our response time and does not reduce, replace, or limit any longer mandatory consumer right that may apply.

15. Educational Purpose

Our guides provide general educational information relating to recreational hand woodcarving.

They do not constitute:

  • Professional woodcarving certification

  • Professional woodworking training

  • Professional tool-safety certification

  • Furniture-making instruction

  • Power-carving training

  • Axe-work instruction

  • Maintaining an appropriate workspace.

  • Keeping hands and other body parts away from cutting paths.

  • Using appropriate protective equipment where applicable.

  • Keeping tools safely stored when not in use.

  • Stopping if a technique feels unsafe or beyond their experience.

An ebook cannot replace appropriate practical supervision or hands-on safety training.

Protective equipment may reduce certain risks but does not make carving risk-free.

Cut-resistant gloves, thumb guards, or similar equipment do not replace:

  • Correct tool handling.

  • Appropriate cutting direction.

  • A stable work area.

  • Properly maintained tools.

  • Good judgment.

18. Children and Younger Users

Our carving guides are primarily intended for adult beginners.

Sharp carving tools should not be used by children without appropriate hands-on adult supervision.

Purchasing a digital guide does not constitute supervision or professional safety instruction.

Wood is a natural material and may vary in:

  • Grain direction

  • Density

  • Hardness

  • Moisture

  • Knots

  • Defects

  • Surface behaviour

Customers remain responsible for choosing appropriate materials and adjusting their approach where necessary.

20. Finishes and Surface Treatments

Our guides may discuss general finishing considerations.

Customers should always:

  • Follow manufacturer instructions.

  • Check ventilation requirements.

  • Review compatibility with the wood.

  • Test finishes where appropriate.

  • Keep products away from children and pets where required.

21. Decorative Projects

Projects presented in our guides are primarily decorative learning projects unless expressly stated otherwise.

Our guides do not certify finished carvings as:

  • Children's toys

  • Food-contact items

  • Load-bearing objects

  • Safety equipment

  • Professionally manufactured products

Customers remain responsible for determining whether a finished item is suitable for a particular use.

22. No Guarantee of Results

Purchasing or using our guides does not guarantee:

  • Professional-quality carving.

  • Identical results to examples.

  • Perfect cuts or surfaces.

  • Professional qualifications.

  • Mastery within a specific period.

  • Commercial woodworking ability.

  • Financial or business results.

Individual results vary.

  • Other third-party products

DREVAN LLC does not control these third parties and cannot guarantee their availability, pricing, quality, suitability, compatibility, safety, or continued operation.

24. Fraud and Abuse

DREVAN LLC may refuse a refund request where there is reasonable evidence of:

  • Fraud

  • False information

  • Intentional abuse of this Policy

  • Repeated misuse of refund requests

  • Unauthorized redistribution

  • Attempts to obtain digital products without legitimate payment

Each request will be evaluated individually and subject to applicable law.

25. Mandatory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, waives, or limits any consumer right or legal remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
